Don't Eat the Yellow Snow

Our route from Durango, Colorado to Taos, New Mexico took us through yet another terrain. As we drove Highway 64 over a mountain, we found ourselves in the midst of some ferocious snow, which at the summit reduced our visibility to about five feet. We feared that we might get stranded and would have to re-enact the events of the Donner Party. Segui would no doubt be the first to get eaten ... although Lisa might taste better.

It was the first time that Segui had ever seen the snow, so we pulled over and let him frolic around for a while. It was freezing cold, but he had a great time jumping and rolling in the strange cold white stuff. They say only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun; the same could be said of the midday snow.
